Graphical Navigation Benefit-Cost Analysis of Air-Pollution Control, R. Halvorsen and M. Ruby
This book describes the use of benefit-cost analysis to evaluate alternative air pollution control policies. The book treats both the theoretical underpinnings of benefit-cost analysis and the practical task of assembling data for the project at hand. Because the intended audience for the book includes both economists and air pollution control specialists, it is written with a minimum of specialized vocabulary.

The theoretical discussion includes fundamental theory, aggregation of benefits and costs over individuals and over time, the evaluation of uncertainty, and the valuation of priced and unpriced goods. The application discussion includes methods for estimating health effects and values, vegetation and ecosystems damages, materials damages, aesthetic damages, and control costs. Although the book was published in 1981 it remains timely and extremely useful today and one of the few available sources of information on this subject.
